German Quality in Motion:

Intermediate Storage for just manufactured bobbins

Intermediate storage for freshly manufactured bobbins is essential to facilitate a maturation or conditioning process before they proceed to the next stage of production and packaging. This storage system can utilize various methods, such as pin containers or the mobile transport systems, to efficiently manage and store the bobbins during this intermediate phase.

Pin containers are specially designed racks are equipped with pins that securely hold individual bobbins in place. The pins prevent the bobbins from rolling or moving, maintaining their integrity during storage.

Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) can be used to transport Pincontainers to and from the intermediate storage area. These autonomous vehicles navigate the production floor, ensuring efficient and timely movement of bobbins without manual intervention.

As a stationary transport system, the Bobbin Rail System (BRS) can be implemented for moving bobbins to the intermediate storage area. These systems are ideal for high-volume operations, providing continuous and reliable transport that does not interfere with the production plant area.

A pin container is an effective solution for the storage and transport of bobbins in textile manufacturing. It ensures secure, organized, and protected storage, facilitating easy handling and integration with automated systems. With a capacity of 3 x 2 x 12, the container can hold up to 72 bobbins, making it a valuable asset in maintaining an efficient and orderly production environment.

The container is equipped with multiple pins arranged in a grid-like structure, for example 3 x 2. Each pin is designed to hold a series of bobbins securely in place, preventing it from rolling or shifting during storage and transport.

Typically, the amount of bobbins on a single pin is equivalent to the amount of spools coming from one winder, called a doff.

Intermediate storage for freshly manufactured bobbins is a critical component in the textile production process, ensuring that bobbins have adequate time to mature and stabilize before further handling. Utilizing pin containers or mobile transport systems, this storage solution offers efficient space utilization, ease of handling, and seamless integration into the production workflow. By maintaining controlled environmental conditions and providing structured storage, the system enhances the quality and consistency of the final product.
